My take on IPL

Hello friends
I am back with yet another blog post. From the time I have started to write blogs, I just can’t resist myself from putting down my thoughts on the blog and thus one post after the other.
But well, this one is more on the topic that has been debateable since its very inception. From the very time IPL has started we have had group of supporters and the haters. It’s more like the world being divided into two groups (Similar to the blue dress case where the world was divided into those who thought that the dress was blue and the others who thought it was white. Well I saw it blue. What about you all? :P)
IPL has created way more controversy than the blue dress for sure, hasn’t it?
So now coming to the main question?
I am for IPL or against IPL? This thought came in my mind when my friend asked if I was keen on coming for a match and I was like sure if you sponsored.
Well like most Indians, I am not a very big fan of cricket. No, not because I like any other sport more than cricket and I don’t like how Indians are all only supporting cricket but because I think its overrated. I think CRICKET IN INDIA IS OVERRATED. IPL IS OVERRATED.
It generates a lot of revenue, no doubt! But who gets it? Is it favouring the Indian economy? By the Indian economy I mean the middle class people and the poor and not the rich. Rich are getting richer and poor poorer. What’s the whole point my friends?
Why don’t we just play a sport like a sport? Why don’t we just paly it for the fun of it? Why are we all up to commercialising everything, I ask why? Why don’t we realise that we are giving up to corruption. We all know of the controversy, right? How the matches are fixed and everything?
This my friend loses the very motive of a sport. It loses its very charm and the spirit of sport.
